I didn't find any humour in that, but I'm old'ish and somewhat crusty, I guess. I heard on the telecast yesterday that 13 of the 23 players on Team Finland are 25 years of age or younger, I'd say they've got a bright future for such a small nation….population wise.

your silly rivalry with Latvia over the 1925 "Wooden Flute Incident."

You make this up James or was it a real thing? Google is giving me nothing.

Honestly? That's awesome. I just think game recaps are so boring. Sorry if anyone didn't find it funny.

Yeah, sure. Obscure the way I like it.

But you're such a homer. Our team was horrible. The lack of scoring was shameful.

I feel like if you look at their roster and compare it to the other teams, they did OK with what they had. There's a lot to like on the team, but the Swedes have 5 of the best D in the NHL and the Russians have Tarasenko and Ovechkin, and the NA team has McDavid and Matthews.

I thought their coach was hesitant to unleash Laine at times as well. I would have paired him and Barkov and played the crap out of them.

They're just young and the guys that are going to be their horses in the future were playing on North American ice for the first time. They'll be okay.

Seemed like they tried to go with a conservative, structured scheme and it didn't work because their defensive corps just wasn't even close to competitive.

You can't bring Sami Lepisto to a best-on-best world tournament and expect good things to happen.
